Andrew B. Bryant

Andrew Bryant brings more than twenty years of litigation and investigations experience in both the insurance industry and government positions to the Bryant Legal Group. In addition to being a licensed attorney, Andy is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  

Prior to joining the Bryant Legal Group, Andy worked in the claim investigations unit at a large national insurance carrier where he consulted and advised claim and medical billing investigations. His work at the firm concentrates on the representation of individuals in health and disability insurance claims and medical providers in commercial healthcare insurance reimbursement litigation and investigations.  

Andy represents individuals in an array of insurance claim matters, including long- and short-term disability claims, group or individual health insurance claims, mental health claims, and life insurance and accidental death claims. Andy is very familiar with insurance claims and appeals processes and leverages this knowledge to his clients’ benefit. 

Andy also represents medical groups in managed care contract disputes and payer/provider reimbursement litigation. At Bryant Legal Group and in his former role within the insurance industry, Andy has investigated matters involving complex medical insurance claim questions and issues. As a result of his efforts, Andy has successfully obtained significant claims payments and settlements on behalf of his individual and medical provider clients. 

Andy began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney prosecuting cases in the high-volume court rooms of Cook County, Illinois. As a front-line prosecutor, Andy personally oversaw thousands of cases including violent crimes such as first-degree murder cases, significant financial crimes, and complex criminal drug conspiracy cases. Andy’s time in the State’s Attorney Office included several years as the lead State prosecutor for the Chicago Strike Force, a cooperative task force between the United States Attorney’s Office and federal and state law enforcement agencies. Andy was recognized and awarded on multiple occasions by community groups and law enforcement for his work representing the people of Cook County. 

In his claims investigations consultant role, Andy reviewed claim files, investigative reports, medical files, and other claim evidence in developing investigative strategies and advising on appropriate claim resolution. Andy’s work also included acting as liaison with state regulators. In that role, he developed an extensive background in the rules and regulations governing insurance claim practices.
